Imprint on the Impact was created to celebrate recovery along the Gulf Coast Region of America in the wake of the destruction of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  On July 18, 2009 people across the world will unit to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 67 years of service to the global community, in a celebration entitled Mandela Day.  The organizers of Mandela Day are asking people to take 67 minutes of their time on July 18 to honor the 67 years Nelson Mandela has spent making the world a better place.  We are asking volunteers, community members, government employees, nonprofits, faith based groups and any else invested in seeing the Gulf Coast Region of America’s state of recovery to join us in celebrating what has been done and what remains to be completed.  A 67 minute walk in Biloxi, Mississippi will begin at 9:53 am in from of the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and end at 11:00 am.  Hurricane Katrina made landfall in Mississippi at 11:00 am.  Click here, to learn how to volunteer, participate or sponsor this event.
